Version 3.2 · Last updated August 14, 2026
1. Sign in and sign out
Sign in
- Go to
https://storage.onstreammedia.com. - Enter the username and password provided by your administrator.
- Select Go.
- After authentication, the asset library opens and your customer name appears at the top of the page.
Your sign-in is retained for the current browser session. If the sign-in form reappears, enter your credentials again.
Sign out
Select Logout in the upper-right corner. This removes the current sign-in information from the browser session and returns you to the sign-in screen.
2. Understand the asset library
The asset library is the main workspace. It contains folders and assets associated with your account.
- Report: Downloads a viewing report for an individual asset.
- Details: Opens links, player settings, and embed code for an asset.
- Type: Identifies an item as an asset or folder.
- Title: Displays the asset title or folder name. Select a folder title to open it. Select an asset title to view it.
- Size: Shows the asset's file size.
- Status: Shows its current processing state.
- Play: Opens a completed audio or video asset in the player.
- Created and Last Updated: Show when the item was created and most recently changed.
Use the search field above the table to find an item in the current folder. You can also sort supported columns by selecting their headings.
Select items
Select a row before using Edit, Logs, Delete, or Download Folder. The table supports selecting more than one row, although some actions require exactly one item.
Live View and Archive View
- Live View: Current assets and folders.
- Archive View: Archived assets and folders.
Refresh the library
Select the circular-arrow refresh icon to retrieve the latest statuses and contents.
3. Navigate folders
Select an underlined folder name to open that folder. The breadcrumb path above the table shows your current location.
To return to a parent folder, select its name in the breadcrumb. You can also use the browser's Back and Forward buttons. The current folder is included in the page URL, so a folder page can be bookmarked or copied for later use. You will still need to sign in before viewing its contents.
4. Create a folder
- Select Add Folder.
- Choose a Parent Folder.
- Enter the new Folder Name.
- Select Add.
Folder names may contain letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores. Avoid spaces and special characters.
5. Upload assets
- Open the folder where you want the assets to be stored.
- Select Upload to expand the upload panel.
- Choose a Desired Output. Available choices are configured for your account. For many video files, the default workflow is selected automatically.
- Confirm the destination Folder.
- Select Choose file, and select one or more files from your computer.
- Select Submit.
- Keep the page open while upload progress is displayed.
When transfer is complete, the library refreshes while the server processes the files. Processing may continue after the upload reaches 100 percent. Use the Status column or Logs to monitor progress.
Upload notes
- Multiple files can be selected in one upload.
- A selected output workflow applies to the upload.
- Recognized video inputs commonly include MP4, MOV, MTS, M2TS, AVI, WebM, FLV, AVCHD, M4V, MPG, MPEG, OGG, and WMV.
- Non-video files are stored without a video-processing workflow.
- Network interruptions are retried automatically several times.
6. View an asset
When an asset's status is Complete, select its title or the View link in the Play column.
- Supported audio and video assets open in a media player.
- Other file types open through their direct asset URL.
The asset opens in a new browser tab so the asset library remains available.
8. Configure the Quizitive player
The Quizitive player is intended for a required-viewing experience followed by another activity, such as an exam, survey, or next lesson.
- Select the document icon in the asset's Details column.
- Under Player Type, select Quizitive.
- Enter the Threshold as an integer percentage. For example, enter
80to display the action after the viewer reaches 80 percent of the video. - Enter the Post Video URL. This is the destination opened by the action button.
- Click or tab outside each field after changing it. Each value saves automatically when the field changes.
- Copy the updated Player URL or the entire Embed Code.
If no saved values exist, Threshold defaults to 80 and Post Video URL defaults to https://storage.onstreammedia.com.
Embed the Quizitive player
Paste the complete iframe code into the HTML or embed-code area of the destination website. The generated iframe is responsive in width and uses a height of 750 pixels. If the publishing platform removes iframe elements or attributes, ask its administrator to allow iframe embeds from storage.onstreammedia.com.
9. Edit, copy, move, or archive assets
Select one or more rows, then select Edit. For a single asset, you can update its title and file name. Changing the file name changes the asset URL, and the application asks for confirmation before saving.
Copy items
- Select the asset or folder rows and select Edit.
- Select Copy To.
- Choose the destination folder.
- Select Save.
Move items
- Select the asset or folder rows and select Edit.
- Select Move To.
- Choose the destination folder.
- Select Save.
Only one of Copy To and Move To can be selected at a time.
Archive or restore items
Use the Live/Archive switch in the Edit dialog and select Save.
- Turning the switch to Archive removes the item from Live View and places it in Archive View.
- From Archive View, turn the switch to Live to restore the item.
10. View processing logs
- Select one asset row.
- Select Logs.
The log panel displays status entries and messages associated with the selected asset. Logs are useful when an upload remains in a processing state or fails. Select a different asset to load its logs.
11. Download a folder
- Select exactly one folder row.
- Select Download Folder.
- Wait while the application creates a ZIP asset.
- When notified that the ZIP is ready, refresh or locate the new completed ZIP asset in the library.
- Open the ZIP asset's details to use its download link.
Large folders can require additional processing time. Do not start another folder export until the current export finishes or fails.
12. Download reports
Asset viewing report
Select the printer icon in the Report column. An Excel report downloads with the asset name, size, duration, and available viewer details, including name, email, company, registration date, maximum playback position, and last-viewed time. Anonymous rows can have blank identity fields.
Monthly usage report
- Select Usage Report.
- Choose a Month/Year.
- Select Go.

An upload is not progressing
- Keep the browser tab open during transfer and confirm that your network connection is stable.

An asset will not play
- Confirm that its status is Complete.
- Refresh the library and review the asset's Logs.
- Try a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

- Open the Player URL directly to determine whether the issue is with the asset or the embedding website.
The Quizitive action does not appear
- Confirm that the Post Video URL is populated.
- Confirm that the viewer has reached the configured threshold and that Threshold contains an integer.
- Reload the asset's Details dialog to verify that both settings were saved.
- If the viewer selected Restart from beginning, the action remains hidden until the threshold is reached again.
15. Quizitive viewer experience
- Playback resumes near the last saved position for the same anonymous viewer and video.
- A new or unrecognized viewer starts at the beginning.
- Seeking through the video is disabled.
- The circular-arrow Restart from beginning control resets playback and saved progress to the beginning.
- Progress is recorded while the video is actively playing and when important events occur, such as pause, end, seeking, or leaving the page.
- After the configured percentage is reached, Start the Exam appears in the lower-right. The video continues playing and its controls remain available.
- The action button is also available in fullscreen mode and opens the configured Post Video URL outside the iframe.
Anonymous viewer recognition
The Quizitive player uses a browser cookie to recognize an anonymous viewer. Recognition is limited by browser privacy behavior:
- The same viewer is generally recognized in the same browser profile and embedding-site context while cookies remain available.
- Clearing cookies or site data can cause the viewer to be treated as new.
- Private or incognito browsing uses separate temporary storage and normally does not match a regular browsing session.
- Different browsers, devices, or embedding websites can be treated as different anonymous viewers.
Support information
Before contacting support, collect your account name, asset title and file name, folder, current status, approximate time of the issue, visible error message, browser, and device. Contact your Onstream Media account representative for assistance.
